Traditional Indian Welcome at School

At first we woke up in the morning & had breakfast & got ourselves ready for leaving. The traffic was so busy that we came a little bit late for this traditional welcome, so that was a shame :c We were greeted with dots between eyebrows, which  were by each of our partner,  & flower  necklesses. We also had a chance to say thank you to  the Principal, & Vice-principal of Delhi Public School, Sapna`Mam and Mamta Ma`m who gave their hearts into this exchange and made it happened. Then we got the meeting with the Principal. Adata Misra. Ma`m  is such a nice person, She sends so much positive energy. She introduced herself to us & also we were introducing ourselves & telling about our experience about the exchange until now. Ma`m gave as while to present why we got into the exchange… I believe  for me it was culture, tolerance, flavors and curiosity what is happening in such an exotic and diversed country like India.  Many of us already settled nicely in the host families, myself too. We picked up some Hindu Language and tasted a variety of food.  After the meeting we got into a school bus & went to Dalli Haat. On this bazaar they’re selling handcraft items from different states, so it was very colourful (like all India but shhh). The biggest mistake I’ve made today was not to take my camera with me! This place was so beautiful & I feel like I’ve just missed that… but at least great memories in my mind… We were so lucky  to have girls beside us, so they could bargain a lot to make prices lower than original ones <3. We all bought so much & came back so happy to our family houses, to have dinner & get rest. Tomorrow the next exciting and lovely day coming. Thank you my Indian family and friends for making my stay enriching in positive values and energy. By Joanna Zagrodzka.
